Fishing in Mullaitivu is really interesting. By boat, they cast a gigantic net on anchors and buoys out in the ocean. Then five to seven men on each end gradually pull it back in to shore. This takes hours. One man on each team leads a chant and the rest “sing” a response. When the man at the back gets a certain distance from the shore he unhooks and walks to the front of the line, rehooks his waist wrap onto to the line and joins the line dance again.
